wembley west ham edit

I’m Sarah, a writer and artist with an insatiable passion for football, (West Ham United, if you’re asking).

Observing the dearth of yarn-based sports reportage in the media, I decided to rectify the situation, capturing all the latest footballing action through theΒ medium of knitting.

I’ve reported on the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, League Cup and even Internationals – the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the 2015 Women’s World Cup. If you suspect a gender political stitch up, you’d be right!

You can follow the knitted footballer on facebook and twitter @knittedfootball.

When I’m not knitting or watching footy, you’ll find me curled up with a good book which I’ll then spout rhubarb about here: hardbookhabit.com

    Hi Sarah.
Great stuff you’re doing. How about a Blackpool FC related knit (regarding our current situation) to put our fans in stitches ?

Hi Sarah! I follow hard book habit – book are my thing, but football isn’t. This, however, is too good to miss – hilarious! I can’t knit, either. So I must follow. You made me laugh tonight, thanks!
