Thanks Jacqui!

Jacqui Oatley,

It’s been a sensational World Cup, filled with grit, courage, triumph and sorrow. We’ve watched the Lionesses bring a sense of pride back to English football, make history and inspire a nation. We’ve followed their journey in the expert company of Jacqui Oatley and her guest pundits at the Beeb who’ve shared in our excitement and even our tears. It’s been a blast, but now it’s time to say goodbye.

It might be the end of the Women’s World Cup, but don’t let that be the end of our support for women’s football. Check out the FA WSL website for details of the continuation of the Women’s Super League season, and let’s carry on following the lionesses on their home turf.

Your knitted people make me smile every time. I can just about hear what these ladies had to say about the World Cup 🙂

You need to knit the scene where that referee asked a South American football player out in the middle of the game – he wouldn’t hear no for an answer, and she said his remarks just threw her focus out the window.
I bet male players don’t have to put up with that!

Ain’t that the truth! thank you for your kind words, I’ve been giving my needles a rest over the winter, but am gearing up for some more knitted football action soon – I’ve really missed my little footballers! 🙂
