Bolasie Bosses Brendan’s Boys

Liverpool’s away game against Crystal Palace yesterday must have seemed like a recurring nightmare. Their last trip to Selhurst Park ended in a draw after they threw away a 3 goal lead in the last fifteen minutes of the match, which effectively extinguished their title hopes. The only difference in last night’s match was that Palace didn’t wait until they were 3 goals down to react, and they didn’t settle for a draw. Rickie Lambert put the Reds in front within the first 2 minutes, but Palace responded with goals from Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Mile Jedinak, leaving Liverpool without a win in five games. Palace’s Yannick Bolasie had a particularly good match, creating numerous chances and repeatedly breaking through Liverpool’s troubled defense. After the match, a dejected Brendan Rodgers spoke of the low confidence in his squad, but took full responsibility for their current poor form.
