Oh Danny boy, the Mancs, the Mancs are crying….


After limping out of the World Cup at the group stage, Roy Hodgson’s England side needed a positive result against Switzerland in last night’s match. It was the first of their qualifiers for Euro 2016, and after a couple of close calls saved by Joe Hart, England won 2:0 thanks to a brace of goals from Danny Welbeck. His double success immediately triggered a twitter explosion of both recriminations from Manchester United fans ruing the recent decision of manager Louis Van Gaal to sell Welbeck, and euphoric swagger from Arsenal fans, quick to champion their new striker only days after his acquisition, which was given a far more lukewarm reception.
