Last night’s sizzler between Germany and Ghana contained all the elements of a Hollywood blockbuster. First off, the family feud with Ghana’s Kevin-Prince Boateng pitched against his brother Jerome, playing in Germany’s ranks. Then, the scorching run of goals with both teams bagging a brace during an intensely exciting 90 minutes, followed by bloodshed as Thomas Muller collided with Ghana’s John Boye, injuring his cheek. But the headlines have to go to Miroslav Klose, whose goal took his World Cup total to 15, equaling Brazilian legend, Ronaldo’s record. Oddly enough, Ronaldo’s 15th World cup goal was also scored against Ghana, in 2006. Ronaldo’s response was a tweet: ‘Welcome to the club’.
